Soul Sister Swoon!!!!!

 

 Hello Dear Friends, I have some exciting news! This past Wednesday I flew up to Minnesota to meet a delicious Stew of Soul Sisters! An art retreat with 8 ahh-mazing artists and fellow bloggers: Liv, Rachel, Jen, Kolleen, Susie, Aimee, and Lori!!! We all stayed together in a gorgeous cabin on Lake Superior which was absolutely stunning and invigorating in person. The woods were filled w/ birch trees, wild wonderful birds, and foxes (and trains!) Stir all that with these ladies and I'm absolutely teary eyed. Waves of excitement. The whole experience was pure magic. I'm sitting here like bread in a soup bowl soaking it all in. Digesting, slowly going through the treasures I brought back w/ me and will share w/ you soon enough. I'm only hoping I can find a way to express all the joy in my heart. I am completely f i l l e d to the brim tipping over w/ l o v e and inspiration. I. am. filled. It felt like we landed in a magic portal where time stood still. A land where nothing but laughter and hugs of warmth and splashes of color exist. It was all so real, and open, and safe, and honest, and raw. The entire experience a dream come true.

PS. Two other Soul Sisters who are part of our Stew that couldn't make it this time and I CAN'T WAIT to meet next time are Chrissy, and Valentina!! Love you girls and missed you dearly!!!!!!!!!!

Weekend UPdate

Hello Dear Souls, I just wanted to say hello (hi!) and share a few quick pics from my travels over the past few days. I had every intention of getting a lot of housework and creative biz work done this weekend, but something told me I just needed to get out a play. The weather was just too nice (in the mid 70's!) to turn my back on, and the beach has been so cleansing to me. Salty goodness, old cars, motorcycles, music (I saw The Flaming Lips on Thursday!!!!!!!!) children laughing and whooshing about, my polaroid camera, driving around wasting film, waving at strangers, under tree tops, over bridges, a little grocery shopping, beer sampling, laughing, crying (of joy and realization) and A LOT of laundry!!!!!

I have quite a few new paintings in the works. Stuff I'm really happy w/ and many things in my head + heart just waiting to burst out. I plan to kick it in high gear and get a lot of stuff listed in the next couple of weeks!!!!!!! I also plan to reconvene w/ my CAMERAS and make it up to them for not using them as often lately. I miss using my cameras more often in my art!!!!! (Lots of exclamation today!!!!!)
