My stencil hoard is growing! In all honesty I used to avoid using stencils in my work, but over the past year I've grown fond of building up layers with some good ol' stencils / stamps. It was a joy to play with Tam's new line with Artistcellar... Technique-wise: I used a sponge brush w/ acrylic for the words and then colored them in with stabilo crayons. Black dylusions spray inks were used for the house bits....and then along came this girl. Taa-daa:
Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Not sure what you mean by sharing my favorite Halloween get-up.....I haven't dressed for Halloween for many a moon. When I was young, though, my best friend and I dressed up as Siamese twins wearing one of her Dad's overcoats. We had a grand time walking in tandem!
