Hi friends!
I have some serious catching up to do in blog-landia. So many things to update and share. . . My LifeBook lesson {Make*Shift Magic} went live earlier this month which has been thrilling to experience as the student pages / interpretations continue to trickle in. I am gearing up for my next journey :: packing up my circus and heading back to my beloved Sanford studio / shop, my beloved bicycle (Jolla! more on her soon). I honestly couldn't be happier with all we've manifested for our lives these past 5 - 10 years, and the continuous practice of holding the joy, clearing space, doing my work, and GettingOutOfMyOwnWay <--- what it all boils down to.
Without further ado: the fabulous and funky Traci Bautista has birthed a new book :: PRINTMAKING UNLEASHED. I am thrilled to be a part of the book-launch-love :: sharing my experience with her book over on her blog today :: and some projects. (((I am also hosting a GIVEAWAY of her book right here))) Leave a comment below with your favorite printmaking technique // what you'd like to learn. . . and for bonus entries >> share this giveaway on IG / FB / etc!

My favourite printing techniques is to clear off my paint-covered stamps and stencils on large sheets of paper to create interesting backgrounds. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite printmaking technique is to doodle on gelli prints. I then cut them up and use in collages. i would love to learn more transfer techniques.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying learning about printmaking - I started off hand carving my own stamps, have moved onto the Gelli plate (which I love with a passion) and now want to try out ALL types of printmaking techniques - I'm hooked!! I'd love to win this book!

ReplyDeleteMust say I loved the ipad drawing in the movie - that was so amazing to see you "work" like that. Fun! I enjoy printing with simple things, like thread spools and other round objects.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this book!
Take care!
I haven't had a chance to try some of these techniques for creating stamps and stencils. I'd love to learn (and win the book!).
ReplyDeleteI really, really, REALLY want to try a hot glue gun stencil! I'd love to win this book! I've also shared this on FB and Twitter.
ReplyDeleteMy current fave technique is gelli printing. Love love love. I want to keep learning and expanding with the gelli plate and I want to buy a glue gun and try the glue stencils.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite technique is one that I accidentally discovered! It happened on day 2 (Monoprint) of the Printmaking Unleashed challenge. I was doing my regular thing- scribbling some graffiti on a phone book page- I call it "Sgraffito as a stamping technique". Scribble in some wet paint and use it as a stamp onto another piece of paper. It's simple but produces some interesting textures and color blending! ( There are more photos of this process on my Monoprinting Madness blog post. ) Thank for the chance to win, Carissa!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the broken link...here's the correct one: Monoprinting Madness!
