Atomically Peaceful

Atomically: 3. extremely small; minute
Peaceful: 3.peaceable; not argumentative, quarrelsome, or hostile: a peaceful
disposition.

Howdy friends, it's been a heck of a week over here. I'm JUST now getting my house in order from the nuclear explosion I created while getting ready for Atomic Bazaar. I'm honestly still sorting things out and looking to do another major overhaul in my house again soon. This always happens to me at the end/beginning of the year. I get this overwhelming urge to get rid. My problem is my inability to say NO to the treasures I find (on the side of the road, at the thrift store, etc.) Do you guys have this problem too?? Will my 30's be better years for reducing clutter?? I had a bit of a shock moment over the weekend when I told someone much younger than me that I'd be turning THIRTY soon. People under 25 think 30 is like, whoaaaa dude, OLD. Yep. So I'll be there soon! Age is but a number, no? I still feel like a 5 year old most of the time :)

Okay! Enough rambling. Lets get on w/ the show.... Atomic Holiday Bazaar. It was held in a historic auditorium in downtown Sarasota. The drive was about 2.5 hours. I really love Sarasota for the fact it's really artsy and rich with old Florida style architecture. It's a beachy little town abundant with art. When we arrived the night before we stayed in a hotel. I'm extremely thankful we drove down the night before, because I'm not a wake up at 5 am and drive 2.5 hours in the morning kind of person. At all. We were literally 5 min's from the auditorium! In the morning we arrived and with half a plan in mind, I set up my table. Here's a shot:

I decided to tag my paintings w/ prices... I don't know if it's common practice or not, but I felt more comfortable having them priced. As far as doing a big show, I learned a lot of useful things..... I will share with you what I learned in my next post!!!!!!

Have a happy friday!

carissa

what is it with the coming of a new year that brings that feeling
    on so intensely??

i was thinking today about my word for 2011 and i am thinking "simplify" may just be it!

i remember yours being "less" for 2010. i like that.

loving you so and sending you big fat knock you on your a&* hugs!!

I recently just turned thirty and it was a hard one for me to swallow. 30, how did I get to thirty so quickly? I just could not believe it. But I have a feeling that thirty will be a good year for me and i am sure it will be a good one for you as well.
